Entangled Love
This project explores the emotional tension within a mother–daughter relationship shaped by anxiety, care, and control. The work is structured around five themes—Integration, Nurturing, Controlling, Evading, and Self-Accusing—expressed through a series of illustrations that visualise the push and pull between protection and restraint.
Extending the series, the illustrations are deconstructed and recomposed into a single sculptural form. The sculpture merges contrasting elements—rigid and soft, protective and controlling—translating the emotional contradictions of the relationship into a three-dimensional structure. By bringing the illustrations into a shared space, the work reflects how these states coexist, overlap, and remain inseparable over time.
